Character stuck?

What should I do when a character is stuck?

Most stuck issues are fixed during downtime, so if a GM has not been able to help you the character should be alright after the daily downtime.

Clearing your cache folder can be very beneficial in various situations, since a corrupt cache file can result in problems running EVE. To clear the cache folder, first locate it on your computer

  • "%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP\EVE\" on Windows XP
  • "%LOCALAPPDATA%\CCP\EVE\" on Windows Vista.

Simply copy and paste the paths into the explorers address bar or into the field you get by Start-Run or Windows-Key + R (without the " )

Select all items in the folder and delete them. Note that doing this will reset all ingame settings to default and it will delete all your bookmark folders. It's recommended that you clear the cache folder before patching the game.

If the above does not help, then you can make a petition in-game, using the stuck category and a Game Master will attempt to resolve your situation.

If you are unable to get ingame using your main character to make a petition, then you can use or create an alternative character for that task.

The daily downtime is from 11:00 to 12:00 GMT.
